Understand potential barriers and how you can test for them.
These guides explain how different access needs may affect people's use of your service, the potential barriers they may experience and how you can test for them.
These guides can help you identify potential barriers, but they do not replace testing with people who use your product or service. Where possible, test your service with people who have different access needs to understand the barriers they may experience.
The areas covered are:
- cognitive access needs - thinking, learning and memory
- hearing accesss needs - hearing and listening
- motor access needs - movement and dexterity
- vision access needs - sight and colour perception
The [How many people have access needs?] tool can help you estimate how many people using your product or service may have different access needs.
