Before requesting an audit, make sure you've planned what needs to be tested and have the information auditors will need and have reviewed common accessibility issues.

Request an accessibility audit

The process is the same if your your product or service is external or internal facing.

Submit an audit request to DesignOps.

The DesignOps team aims to respond to requests within 5 working days.

They can help you:

  • understand what type of audit you need
  • plan your audit timeline
  • prepare the right information for auditors
  • find the right audit provider

How to procure an accessibility audit

After you have spoken to DesignOps and understand what type of audit you need, you can arrange your audit with Zoonou, DfE's accessibility audit supplier.

Email the contract manager for Zoonou, Mitchell Jones, at mitchell.jones@education.gov.uk.

Alternatively, you can use the three or more quotes process (opens DfE intranet in new tab) (link opens in new tab).

We still advise that you contact DesignOps even if you are using the three or more quotes process. They can help you understand what type of audit you need.
